Techwear essentials


Techwear is gaining popularity fashion direction, which introduces modern manufacturability in clothes. Techwear gives forward-thinking clothes that provide both utility and comfort. But I think that the term techwear can be hard to understand. So I should define the term techwear. Techwear is clothing for everyday life with special fabric, construction and properties that allow for breathability, movement, water-resistance and comfort. World of techwear is so big and I can't unpack it, but I can tell you essentials of this world.

Technical Aspects

The main advantage of techwear clothing is that it make life easier.
You can carry more stuff with yourself, stay dry in downpour, be protect from wind, etc. Below are the head advantages that techwear items provide.

We will continue that topic in next post. But now I want to show you person, which is connected to techwear and likes graphics a lot.

What originally inspired you to create the types of graphics you’re known for?
Most of the inspiration, I received from the works of Hideo Kojima, Otomo Katsuhiro and William Gibson. Video games, anime, sci-fi movies and books, all of this is part of my life.
Do you consider what you do more of a personal hobby, a long-term career choice, or a springboard for something much bigger?
It started as a hobby, but now I try to build a career in graphic design and concept art.
How would you like others to interpret your work? How much of your designs reflect your personality?
One of my friends called my style “dark-technical-fashion-futurism,” but it is too long (laughs). All of them, everything I do I take straight out of my head. All the feelings I try to put on a piece of digital paper.
I think the whole “technical” aspect needs to be more widely adopted as a standard in clothing production due to its obvious practicality.

      it's comfy but expensive.
      Some outfits cost upwards of $5k...

Water Resistance and Other Enhanced Properties   One of the main pluses that techwear gives is its water repellency. Everyone hates when he falls under the rain. Techwear can solve this problem. A lot of modern clothes and  sneakers are using special material for this.
