Techwear essentials(continuation)
Today we continue our acquaintance with techwear. I want to tell you about protecting from water.
Water Resistance and Other Enhanced Properties
One of the main pluses that techwear gives is its water repellency. Everyone hates when he falls under the rain. Techwear can solve this problem. A lot of modern clothes and sneakers are using special material for this. Its GORE-TEX. In 1969, co-inventors Wilbert L.Gore and Gore's Son Robert W.Gore discovered a method of stretching Teflon into a "thin, porous membrane" that was able to repel liquid water while allowing water vapor to pass through. The material is designed to be a lightweight, waterproof fabric for all-weather use particularly on outerwear.
Now GORE-TEX is the standart in water repellency and has the most brand acknowledgment among others similar materials. ome notable competitors to Gore-Tex include eVent, HyVent (Developed by North Face) and H2No (Proprietary to Patagonia). But I have not heard about them last 2 years. Yes, They are using, but it is smaller or less popular brands than such techwear giants as ACRONYM and Nike ACG.
It is not all pluses of techwear materials. I am talking about stretch, odor resistance, abrasion resistance, reflectiveness, etc. We will continue this research in the next post. But now I want show you another interview with person who likes techwear, wonderful backgrounds and nature.
Growing up, visiting and camping at different national parks was a big part of my childhood. I took it for granted back then but now I enjoy revisiting these spots and discovering new ones. It’s a great way to test the limits and capabilities of the clothing’s technical aspects in a setting outside of the city.

Compared to the others, you tend to use beautiful nature scenes as your backdrop. Is there a reason for this?

How would you like to see the culture move forward?
I think the whole “technical” aspect needs to be more widely adopted as a standard in clothing production due to its obvious practicality. I think it will be only a matter of time before it becomes more of a standard rather than a niche market.
It is a tight-knit community in the sense that everyone seems to know of each other. It’s always great to find others with similar interests and see their interpretations of the style.

Wow !!! How great that technology does not stand still and even in clothes they participate and progress! Well, I'm happy to say that now I can jump in puddles and I will not be anything except to those who are not around in this beautiful clothes (it's painful to tell that people who are not children at all are not pranks , And sometimes you want to!)
